Rusty Santos is a Los Angeles-based musician and producer known for his contributions to indie music and experimental pop. He first gained attention producing Animal Collective’s Sung Tongs and through his collaboration with Panda Bear on Person Pitch.

Rusty’s catalog spans epochs, having produced and mixed records for artists like Born Ruffians, Dirty Projectors, and Dawn of Midi, and mastering albums for artists like Beach House and DJ Rashad.

His solo work explores subliminal territory, suggestive of his innovative approach to music production and composition. The music maps out the terrain of a dreamscape. The experimental nature of the songs apparent in subject matter and the sonics themselves.

Rusty’s deep roots in the acoustic and electronic psychedelia scene, including collaborations with Black Dice and Gang Gang Dance, have fed his distinct approach to making records with influence that can be felt far beyond the underground scene.
